Terms of Use

These terms apply to mfichurchhealthinitiative.org, the MFI Church Health Initiative, operated by Ministers Fellowship International (MFI) of 9200 NE Fremont St, Portland, OR 97220, United States — “we” or “us”. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the assessment.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older to submit a response. Before you submit, you are asked to tick a box confirming your age and your acceptance of these terms and the Privacy Policy; submitting without that confirmation is not possible. If you are taking the assessment on behalf of a church or team, you confirm you are allowed to do so.

It is a beta, and it is provided as-is

The assessment is in active development. Questions, scoring, and features will change, pages may be unavailable, and data may be corrected or migrated as we improve it. The site and everything in it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be preserved indefinitely.

How to read your results

Your results are a conversation starter, not a verdict. Scores and bands are generated from self-reported answers by the people who chose to respond, and they reflect perception at one moment in time.

Results are informational only. They are not professional, pastoral, legal, financial, employment, psychological, or medical advice, and they are not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified person who knows your situation. Do not use results as the sole basis for a decision about a person’s role, employment, or care. Nothing here creates a pastoral, counselling, or professional relationship between you and MFI.

Using the site well

Please do not:

• submit answers for someone else, or answers you know to be false;
• submit responses in bulk, or in any way designed to distort a church’s results;
• try to identify an individual respondent, or to access a church’s results you were not invited to see;
• attempt to access the administrator console, another person’s results, or any part of the system you have not been given access to;
• scrape, probe, overload, or interfere with the site, or get around any security or rate limit;
• upload anything unlawful, abusive, or harmful, or use the site to harass anyone.

We may suspend or remove access, and remove submissions, if we believe these terms are being broken or the integrity of the data is at risk.

What you submit

Your answers remain yours. By submitting them you give MFI permission to store them, to generate your results and your church’s blended results, and to use aggregated or de-identified findings to understand and serve the fellowship. Names and email addresses are never included in anything MFI shares or exports — see the Privacy Policy for the detail.

Our content

The assessment framework, questions, scoring, text, design, and logos are owned by MFI or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use the site and your own results for your church’s internal purposes. You may not copy, republish, resell, or build a competing assessment from them without our written permission.

Links to other sites

We link to other sites, including mfiglobal.org and Mannahouse Resource. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MFI and the people who build and operate the assessment on its behalf are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on results. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the assessment — which is nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted. It forms part of these terms.

Changes and ending access

We may update these terms as the assessment develops. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page; continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the assessment, and you may stop using it at any time. You can ask us to delete your response whenever you like.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Nothing here removes a consumer-protection right that the law of your own country gives you and does not allow to be waived.
